Speculation Grows Over Potential Driver Line-Up for Cadillac F1
Rumors surrounding who will sign with the upcoming Cadillac F1 Team are gaining momentum. The team is currently in the process of building its structure and preparing for its debut season in 2026.
Several high-profile names have been linked with the project, including Sergio Perez, Valtteri Bottas, and Mick Schumacher. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Daniel Ricciardo is no longer under consideration.
Another name circulating in the paddock is Pato O’Ward, the talented Mexican driver currently competing in IndyCar. O’Ward has delivered strong performances this season, currently sitting second in the championship standings and regularly appearing on the podium. He also claimed victory in the most recent race in Iowa.
Crucially, O’Ward has prior experience in Formula 1 machinery as a McLaren Racing driver. He holds a super licenceand is set to drive the MCL39 during free practice at the Mexican Grand Prix.
However, in an interview with Mexican sports outlet Medio Tempo, O’Ward downplayed the rumors:
“It’s not true—these are nothing more than rumors. I’d compare the reports linking me to Cadillac with rumors about Fernando Alonso dating Taylor Swift.”
