Mekies Confident Verstappen Will Stay at Red Bull

Red Bull Racing team principal Laurent Mekies has stated that the team is not considering the possibility of Max Verstappen leaving. According to Mekies, the four-time world champion remains a central figure within the project and continues to play an important role in key decisions regarding the team’s future.

Mekies acknowledged that Verstappen was frustrated by the lack of performance during the opening rounds of the season and had reservations about the 2026 regulations. However, Red Bull remains confident that as long as the team can provide him with a competitive car, Verstappen will stay motivated and committed.

Mekies also noted that speculation surrounding Verstappen’s future is a normal part of the Formula 1 environment and often depends on the outcome of a particular race weekend.
