Ferrari conducted its first test day of the 2025 season at the Fiorano circuit. Lewis Hamilton was the first to take the wheel of last year's SF-23, before Charles Leclerc stepped in later in the day. Following the session, the team shared comments from both drivers and team leadership.
Lewis Hamilton:
"I’ve had many memorable ‘firsts’ throughout my career from my debut in Formula 1 to my first win. But today was truly something special.
Taking the wheel of a Ferrari for the first time brought back incredible emotions it felt like I was reliving the early days of my racing journey.
Driving out of the garage with the Ferrari emblem in front of me put a genuine smile on my face.
I’ve always known how passionate the Ferrari team is, but experiencing it from within is something entirely different. The energy here is unmistakable it’s in every person, every detail.
I’m truly grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received from everyone in Maranello. There’s a lot of work ahead, and I’m really looking forward to the start of the season."
