Lewis Hamilton Handed Three-Place Grid Penalty After Impeding Oscar Piastri in Hungarian GP Qualifying

The stewards of the Hungarian Grand Prix have concluded their investigation into the incident that occurred during the final phase of qualifying and found Lewis Hamilton guilty of impeding Oscar Piastri.Following their review, it was determined that the British driver unintentionally ended up on the racing line during Piastri's flying lap. The stewards' report stated that Hamilton had not been informed by his team over the radio that Piastri was approaching, and he was also unable to see the McLaren driver in his mirrors as he had already committed to the corner. Although the incident was deemed unintentional, the stewards imposed the standard penalty of a three-place grid drop for the race.
