George Russell to Miss Thursday Press

Mercedes has announced that George Russell is not feeling well and, as a result, will not be present at the circuit on Thursday and will not meet with the media. According to a team representative, the driver is currently focused on regaining his strength in order to return to the track on Friday and take part in the opening practice sessions.

At Thursday’s official FIA press conference, Russell will be replaced by his teammate Kimi Antonelli, who will answer questions from journalists on his behalf. At the same time, Mercedes has prepared a contingency plan:should Russell’s condition prevent him from continuing over the course of the weekend, the team’s test and reserve driver Valtteri Bottas is ready to step into the cockpit.

The team emphasized that Russell’s health remains the top priority, while expressing confidence that he will be fit to resume driving duties by Friday.
