George Russell Could Join Audi F1, Claims Gunther Steiner

While Formula 1 drivers continue to enjoy the summer break, former Haas team principal Gunther Steiner has shared his thoughts on George Russell's future. According to Steiner, the British driver could be exploring options beyond Mercedes, with Audi emerging as one of the most attractive destinations.Speaking on The Red Flags podcast, Steiner said that a number of drivers are already showing interest in joining the German manufacturer for the 2028 season. He noted that Audi's driver line-up for next year is likely to be settled, but a seat could become available in 2028.Steiner believes this is why several drivers are already keeping a close eye on Audi's long-term project and view the team as one of the most appealing opportunities for the future.
