Lando Norris delivered an impressive performance in Austin, securing second place on the podium and reducing the gap to his teammate in the drivers’ standings.
After the race, Norris shared his thoughts:
“Finally, second place it’s been a long time coming! The battle with Charles was intense; he defended brilliantly, and I had to give absolutely everything. After the first overtake, I expected the next one to be easier, but it turned out quite the opposite Leclerc drove flawlessly, and the fight was really exciting.
I’m pleased with the result today we extracted the maximum from the car. On fresh tyres, you can push harder, but they tend to overheat quickly, which affects the pace. Toward the end, I had to ease off a bit to manage the tyres, then push again and it worked perfectly. A great race and a well-executed strategy!”
