Bearman’s Next Goal:Driving for Ferrari

Young Ferrari Academy driver Oliver Bearman has already fulfilled his dream of making his Formula 1 debut and now hopes one day to secure a place with the Scuderia.

“The best part of Formula 1 is the feeling you get from the car: the incredible speed and dynamics that cannot be compared to anything else. I am grateful to Ferrari for the opportunity and I believe in myself, though doubts do arise at times. But they help you grow,” Bearman admitted.

According to him, working with the car has not always been straightforward: “When the team upgraded the car in the summer, I didn’t always understand how it behaved. Later, the situation improved, and now I look to the end of the season with optimism.”

Bearman noted that Formula 1 has become a new learning experience for him: “Here, a driver’s feedback directly influences the development of the car. It is essential to describe your feelings accurately and guide the engineers in the right direction. In this regard, I am learning a great deal from Esteban Ocon.”

“I quickly established a good relationship with the Haas engineers, where open criticism and a focus on progress are encouraged. Of course, my dream is to once again drive a Ferrari, but I am happy at Haas and want to build my future here in Formula 1,” the young driver added.
